Germs,
We finished Regionals the same way we started Sectionals, with a win over
Jug Handle.
In between were all kind of lights both high and low.
We finished tied for 9th. Considering we were seeded 12th, that's pretty
good.
Game 1: A hungover crew came out flat against a good TAU team and we lost
15-7.
Game 2: We let Terror Alert Orange take half, but played much better in the
second half and won going away. Also, I made Kristen mad because I looked
so much better in her shirt.
Game 3: If it's Regionals, we must be playing BRDM. 3rd year in a row we've
played them, and I was hoping we could avenge last year's collapse. This
was back & forth the whole game, and then with the cap on, they received
the
disc on Universe point. A pretty sweet huck to a streaking female stuck the
dagger quickly in our hearts. Sucked to lose that game, but it was largely
spirited (other than a very iffy travel call on a restaurant-quality huck by
Mikey) and I'm sure we'll see them again.
Game 4: This was to see if we would be tied for 9th or tied for 11th versus
the aforementioned Jug Handle. It was a loose affair, as Captain Bishop
raised his record to a spotless 1-0. Coyne tried a coin machine that was
more like a retard who works for hot dog money at the local arcade. Several
points were played with hiked-up shorts. An all-UDel line was thrown out
there, with mixed results. The final point was scored by a diving
mustachioed gentleman of grace and candor, whose name I didn't get.
Brunch. We would have needed to win our last 2 games to be playing on
Sunday. We hit the Starboard and then separated for outlet shopping and BBQ
eating.
Off-field exploits were more entertaining. Friday night consisted of our
return to the Starboard, Casey educating us on the beauty of the Bull Shark,
creepy guys circling our "ladies" like sharks after chum, some
well-organized skinny dipping led by Kristen, and of course 2+ hours of
Pretzel's whale impersonations.
Saturday night, Flav (lightly assisted by Chris & Bridget) made an awesome
Italian dinner, Mikey was shocked (shocked!) by a bday cake made by his mess
of a wife, we regaled each other with stories of perversion and innocence
around the campfire (thanks Casey & Chris!), watched some baseball, and
hit
the Starboard again.
Thanks to everyone for another roller coaster Germ season has been laid to
rest. See you in 08!
